Welcome to Weldmar Hospicecare Trust. The aim of this website is to
give you all the information you need about the charity, how
we may be able to help you, and how you may be able to help
us.
Weldmar Hospicecare Trust is a local charity
providing high quality specialist palliative care services
for people with cancer and similar life threatening diseases
in Dorset. Once three separate charities, we are now one merged

patients and their loved ones when cancer or other incurable
illnesses strike.
We cover the West, North and South of Dorset

Our specialist
community nurses are based in the following areas
• Blackmore Vale - Shaftesbury, Gillingham
and Sturminster Newton
• Sherborne
• Blandford Forum
• Dorchester
• Weymouth and Portland
• Bridport and Lyme Regis
• Two nurses work in Dorset County Hospital,
Dorchester

How
we can help you >>
Your
support is vital to make sure that they
will be here for those who will need us in future. Legacies and gifts from the public and from people
who have benefited from our work, as well as donations have
enabled our charity to go on developing and delivering services
for cancer patients and others with life threatening illnesses
here in Dorset.
Who else
could have spent the time and have had the understanding that
cancer patients require?'
from the wife of a patient
in North Dorset to their specialist palliative nurse.
