Speciality Doctor in Palliative Medicine

Weldmar Hospicecare Trust is the sole provider of specialist palliative care in North, South and West Dorset, serving a population of 250,000 through community, day and in-patient services. We are a well established independent charity with ambitious plans for the future including partnership work with the local NHS.

We are inviting applications for a Specialty Doctor to join the medical team
(2 Consultants and 1 Associate Specialist), which supports all our services, in particular the 18 bed in patient unit in Dorchester. The post can be full or part-time and there is a 1 in 4 non-residential on-call requirement.

The successful candidate will be fully registered with the GMC and will have relevant post-registration clinical experience. Previous experience in specialist Palliative Medicine would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be provided. Salary will be according to experience and qualifications in line with NHS SAS Contracts.

Head of Housekeeping
£17,452, — 37.5 hours per week

An opportunity has arisen for a head of housekeeping to lead our team working at Joseph Weld Hospice.

Responsibilities will include:

  • A hands-on approach to cleaning of all areas within the hospice.
  • To co-ordinate the team on a daily basis.
  • To implement cleaning procedures in line with current infection control requirements.
  • To lead the team to ensure high standards are implemented and maintained.
  • To train and develop the team.

You will need:

Initiative.
Good Communication skills.
Commitment to the role.
Ability to lead a team.
Suitable experience.

You will be highly motivated, team oriented and able to motivate and enthuse the team around you.

Fundraising Secretarial Assistant
Salary from £12,922- £15,950,
30 hours per week

Weldmar Hospicecare Trust cares for patients with cancer and other progressive conditions who require specialist help. As an independent charity the Fundraising Office plays a vital role in securing the necessary funds to run our services.

We are seeking a part-time Secretarial Assistant to work in our busy Fundraising Department for 4 days a week (not Wednesdays). Sound Admin and Computer skills are essential, also the ability to work on own initiative as well as being part of a team. Training will be given on the Fundraising database which forms an essential part of this role.
