Who We Are

Weldmar Hospicecare Trust is a registered charity, number 1000414. The charity operates as a company limited by guarantee whose directors are referred to as Trustees. All Trustees act in a voluntary capacity and give their time for free. They bring knowledge and skills to benefit the charity, for example, experience in business, the legal profession, in health and social services and in the financial field. They are ultimately responsible for the charity.

The organisation is a Registered Charity run by a Board of Trustees. The Board’s responsibilities are to make decisions on the Trust’s policy issues, plan for future developments and the overall management of the Trust’s financial affairs. The overall day to day management and running of the hospice services is the responsibility of the Chief Executive and Director of Nursing with the rest of the Management Team – Two Consultants in Palliative Medicine, Finance Manager and Fundraising Director.
